El Paso Area Cross Country Alumni Association
Dear New Graduates,
Congratulations on graduating from high school and good luck on your new journey in life wherever that may take you.
If you ran Cross Country for your entire high school “career” or only for just one year, you know the camaraderie that this type of sport builds. It is in that spirit that the El Paso Area Cross Country Alumni wants you to know that you are now a member of a distinguished group of individuals in El Paso.
Throughout the State of Texas, EVERYONE knows El Paso is a hotbed of distance talent. It is through this group that current members ask that you to uphold the tradition that you are now a part.
A shirt is the initial salvo in gear that the EPCC alumni group hopes to start making available to graduating seniors, family members, past runners and anyone who is a fan of Cross Country in El Paso.
When you ran, the support you received out on the course was great; however, it is no secret that an increase in crowd wouldn’t have made you run worse. When you venture across Texas, the overwhelming support of the “traditional” powers can be intimidating. That is why with a concerted effort, the entire El Paso area can unite and support our runners when they hit Lubbock and try and reclaim Region One as El Paso’s Region.
If additional shirts are requested, please just email me or join the Facebook Page (www.facebook.com and search for El Paso Cross Country Alumni) (working on website: http://epccalumni.wordpress.com) and request a shirt.
Thanks for making El Paso proud and keeping the distance running tradition.
